Chicago

Alright, so this was back in September but I never shared it on here. This was the 3rd Ed concert I had been to and even though he comes out after most shows, he has never come out after any of the ones I’d been to. So I was pretty sad that for the 3rd time, I missed the opportunity to stand in line to meet him, get an autograph and picture.

Even though the security told everyone he wouldn’t be coming out, at least 100 people stuck around in hopes that he still would. They stayed in line and then Ed and the Rizzle Kicks boys (they will visiting on tour) came out the side door and they walked to the bus. I wasn’t near when that happened but I heard all the screaming.

Then a few friends and myself were hanging out on the sidewalk opposite Ed’s bus for like 20 minutes. There were probably a good 100+ fans on the sidewalk next to his bus screaming at him to come out but he stayed on the bus. The friend I came to Chicago with went and chased down Ed’s truck driver to ask him a question and I started to walk with her but then decided not to go, so I was just standing by myself on the sidewalk across from Ed’s bus. I was just standing there looking around while I waited for my friend and then something caught my eye. The curtains on the bus weren’t closed anymore and there was someone standing by the window and as I focused better, I saw they were waving. So I started to look around me and I was the only one standing there. Then I started to squint my eyes to look closer and noticed it was Ed! You could see his slightly wet hair and black rimmed glasses through the tint of the bus window. I was like OMG! IS THAT REALLY ED WAVING AT ME?! So I smiled really big and started waving back. Then he points to his chest, makes a heart with his hands and then points at me and smiles. So I do it back and he holds his hands in to his chest kind of he’s saying aw thank you! or something and then he started waving again and I waved back, blew him a kiss and he closed the blinds on the bus.

It was so awesome but nobody saw me experience it! It just shows that even though he didn’t have time to meet fans after this show, he will still do cute things for his fans.I just adore him so much and him giving me a hand heart just made the missed M&G opportunity a lot less sad.

So my friend won a radio contest so we could meet Ed back in December for a Jingle Bell Ball. We got this cat sweater to give him from our friend, who had got it from a thrift shop. When we waited in line for the meet and greet, we also got to meet Stuart! :) The security were telling people not to bring things up to sign, but Ed said to ignore them and he would sign anything and he was just really sweet and gave everyone all the time they wanted and didn’t let security speed up the time. Earlier that day, we met Ed in the airport and stopped him for pictures, and we told Ed that we were the ones in the airport and we apologized for stopping him, and he said “Oh, that was you?! sorry I couldn’t stop to talk! I was so tired, but I’m much more lively now!” and then he hugged us and omfg his HUGS ARE SO GREAT WOW I WAKSJFKLJ and then I handed him the cat sweater and he said he loved it and we wore ugly christmas sweaters for the picture haha :) Then he hugged us again when we left and he was so sweet, and he talked to us instead of normal meet and greets that are really rushed and he’s just so, so sweet to his fans and I am convinced he is the nicest person in the world, because he didn’t have to stop for us in the airport, but he did and ugh he’s just honestly so wonderful and I’m so blessed, and I was standing with a group of friends outside in the rain after the concert when he instagrammed himself wearing the cat sweater, and as soon as he did, we all started getting calls and texts and tweets of people freaking out and we all literally cried and hugged each other and it was the BEST fan experience ever. I’m beyond grateful :)

Ed Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks At Rams Head Live 1/29/2013 A.K.A. My Luckiest Day Ever

So here is the full run down on what happened yesterday:

After my basketball practice, My mom drove  Holly and I to Rams Head Live and we were only planning of hanging around to see if we could meet someone, or something, considering we didn’t have tickets. So we went directly to the back of the venue and waited around, made some friends, got some info on what was going on, etc. We heard that Rizzle Kicks had left and obviously they had to come back, so we waited, and just as we were about to leave and walk to the front, we saw them coming. There was about 7 of us and I asked them, from across the street if we could get a picture or something. Of course, they were happy too. I video taped the whole meet up and I got a picture, and autograph, and we had a full blown conversation. They were supper funny! After that, since Ed was in sound check, we knew he wasn’t going to come out, and the other opener wouldn’t come and meet us, we walked to the front and met up with a few people, took pictures, and ATTEMPTED to get people in line to sing with us. Needless to say, it didn’t work very well. The line started moving, and we were just waiting and standing around. We sat down for a bit as the line became shorter and after everyone had gotten in, my mom went up and asked a security guard if there was anyway he could let us in. He was just about to let us in when a VERY NICE LADY came up to us and asked us if we needed tickets. She gave them to us for free, we thanked her, then freaked out a bit before running into the venue. We attempted to get into the VIP area where a few of our friends were, then ran into another friend. We ran around the whole venue just trying to get a good spot. After some time, we found PERFECT spots on the right floor. The first opener was FANTASTIC. I yelled out “I LOVE YOUR MUSTACHE” and he looked in my direction and said “Why thank you!”. Rizzle Kicks were hilarious and had so much energy and came out on stage in an Orioles and Raven t-shirt, riding a bike. Then Ed came and it was such an amazing experience. HE WAS AMAZING. I took over 500 pictures. And after the concert I went home and fell dead asleep at 12:30.

GREAT NIGHT! I MADE A BUNCH OF FRIENDS!

Ed in Indianapolis 1-26-13

Okay so I went to the Ed concert on Saturday 26th, 2013 in Indianapolis and it was amazing. I wish I could just remember every little detail to write down but that would take a long time hahah. We got there like 930 or so in the morning and coincidentally the people seated next to us, one of them used to go to my school and I followed her on instagram already! On the other side there was a girl I met from twitter and we were going to meet up and say hi but there she was! (oh and shes going to the olly concert like me next weekend so we can see each other again, yay!) Anyway my friends and I were going to Starbucks like we did many times that day, mainly because I had to charge my phone but we ran into the truck driver of eds who remembered me from when I talked to him at the Chicago concert last year! He especially remembered because of the other girl there at the time who “attacked him”. He asked us if we were from around here and good places to eat, we did really bad but we chatted for a bit and then the rest of the day each time we saw him! Apparently indy was the concert with the people out the earliest or something, which I didn’t expect but it was mainly people traveling to a bunch of his concerts in a row. We also met in line this older man, maybe 57, I forget his twitter but he came all the way from London, England to see ed perform there and at a few other places! He even followed him around in Europe a bit which I thought was amazing considering his age and all, he was really cool though. Thankfully after the day went on they opened the doors just to let us into the venue, but not the room, at 4 so we could warm up and go to coat check, eat, whatever. But then at 6 they opened the doors and they were getting after people running but it was still pretty hectic, we ended up getting center 5th or 6th row and that was really fun! I want to elaborate more but im sure people don’t really care about my time standing there! Anyway Foy Vance was so powerful and awesome I was so impressed! What was weird is that we saw him walking around beforehand like 5 times but none of us knew it was him! Then Rizzle Kicks came on and I have been a huge fan of their music since I found out they were going on tour with Ed and I just loved watching them perform! They were so fun and energetic and Jordan’s dance moves + Harley’s beanie don’t even get me STARTED on that! But then ed came on. Id already been close and seem him before but since we were in the center it was different and just amazing like words cant describe. You understand if you’ve been to one of his concerts or even just seen some videos on youtube I guess. He said some really funny stuff throughout and had some deep moments as well, but of course I don’t remember all the things he said ): Some people were super annoying about shouting after he was playing a quiet song, which I guess you’ll run into anywhere but it’s quite disrespectful and annoys me and many others. It wasn’t too bad altogether though and I was prepared for the worst based on what happened in Chicago, I guess cause that’s a big city im not sure. But side note, DON’T yell ‘we love you ginger jesus’ or something along those lines because hes repeatedly said he hates being called that, like say it to your friends whatever but not a concert or if you meet him please. I don’t mean to sound smart but when hes about to start a quiet song you don’t need to profess your love for him, he knows. Oh and then when he was playing you need me, he started singing thrift shop in the middle which im so happy about because im obsessed with that song! Altogether it was a great concert. Then we stayed after to meet him for about 2 hours before he came out and it was totally worth it even though it was like 15 degrees out. I had him sign my cd cover and a picture of him when he was younger and he said: “Oh god this is a good one, thanks for printing this one off” and laughed all cute.  I’ll link some photos down below but I cant wait for the day I meet/see him again! GO to his concert if you can it’s a hundred percent worth it.

My friend uploaded my picture i got signed of him

Meeting Ed In Portland 10/5/12

I got to meet Ed when he performed in the Bing Lounge in Portland, Oregon. As soon as I found out he was performing I started listening to Live 95.5 religiously to try to be caller number 9, and well I was after calling in on 9 different occasions. I decided to make him a bracelet and also gave him an Oregon pin.

On Friday I went to wait in line for the Bing Lounge. I gave the lady my name and she went to give me two passes and I told her it was just me and I ended up getting a front row seat!! Everyone got sat down and Ed came out. He played Lego house, You need em I don’t need you and A Team. Finally it was time to meet him.

I told him “I know you like Pingu so I made you this bracelet.” He took the bracelet, smiled at me and said “This is really sick actually.” We took our picture and I left to go get a spot in line at the venue.

The concert was absolutely amazing, I was only about 10 feet from the stage. I stayed after to try to meet Ed again but it started to get late and I had to drive alone for an hour and a half.

Is there a designated area for each venue that you would meet Ed at? I'm seeing him in Febuary in Los Angeles, but I keep worrying about missing the opportunity to meet him just because I can't find him. I know you probably don't have every venue he goes to mapped out in your mind, but what would you reccommend for me to make sure I don't miss anything? Thanks for answering xoxo

There’s no designated area…. Every time I’ve met him, it’s been by his tour bus - Hope that kind of helps :)

Just letting you know...Ed is doing more shows in December. He is coming back to Boston to do Jingle Ball. There will be 8 other artists as well...but he still will be doing a show of some sort:P

Asked by: Anonymous

I’m aware of that… There are a few “holiday” type of shows happening that Ed will be at in December, I just can’t post info about them until they are all officially announced!
